We recently relocated to Chester County and In our opinion, this is by far the best pizza to be had in this area. We have lived in multiple countries before and this pizza still comes right on top of the list. Pizza here is crafted as it should be, with dedication and exceptional quality of ingredients that really make a difference. Look and think no more, go and try it for yourself. Take a good wine with you Sofia & Andres

Great traditional Italian pizza you can tell from first to last bite that everything is made fresh daily!! The owner really cares about his place!!

There are a ton of pizza places around that have really good decent pizza. This place really stands out as having extraordinarily delicious pizza though. The dough is made with love, he makes his own cheese, and he only sells pizza until he runs out of dough. He hasn't compromised quality for quantity. We got there at 8 pm and had 2 of his last 3 pizza doughs (ordered two because we couldnt decide and figured we wanted to have too much pizza so we could take it home). We got a margherita and a white pizza. We were the only people in there at this time, so we got to talk to the owner quite a bit. Super nice guy - all of the people who work there were really nice. He even made us a dessert pizza with nutella and strawberries with that 3rd pizza dough instead of tossing it. That was delicious as well. Can't go wrong with this place - go get some pizza right away!

My friend bragged all day about her experience at Ravanesi. So of course we had to find out first hand, if Ravanesi hype was just that, hype. I was told that this place fills up fast. She wasn't kidding. We arrived around 5pm and within 15 minutes. The restaurant had no tables open and a line outside the restaurant. The waiter was helpful and suggested the sopressata piccante and the Margherita. So of course we listened. The margherita was good but hands down the sopressata was amazing. The spicy kick from the sopressata blended perfectly with the fresh made dough and high quality cheese. The one downfall of this little gem is the size of the pizza 14" does not justify the price. We paid 17 a pie. Understanding a bit about food cost. That is a huge profit margin. I would visit more if the price was more reasonable. So hence my four stars. Manga!!

A good friend suggested we go to Ravanesi at 5pm on a Saturday to ensure we get a table. She wasn't kidding. We were seated immediately and shortly after, a nice wait had formed. The menu consists of pizza, pizza with a side of pizza. When they run out of dough they close up for the evening. Their dough is made daily and takes 30 hours before it can be baked. Some people may consider this a turnoff but I find it admirable...."Hey, when we're done, we're done." I went with a group of 4 and ordered 4 pizzas. They weren't too big and it was my first time so I wanted to try a few different pies. We ordered a margherita, bianca, sopressata piccante, and a half sopressata half sausage. Hands down the Sopressata Piccante was the best. All were very tasty but that Sopressata will bring me back. The waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, overall very welcoming for my first experience. Because we didn't eat enough (sarcasm) I deemed it appropriate that we order a nutella pizza with a raspberry glaze. Did you read that correctly? NUTELLA PIZZA. Scrumptious and worth every cramp my stomach sent my way throughout the evening! Ravanesi gets 4 stars from me due to the price. We paid ($17-19) per pie and they were only 14" round. So my love, Ravanesi, until I get that solid yearly bonus, I unfortunately can only visit you sporadically.

Forget what you think you know about pizza. Disregard that pizza place you swear is the best you've ever had. Now take a deep breath and go to Ravanesi. I always believed that La Porta, which is fairly close to this place, was as good as it gets. I was wrong, this is as good as it gets. Here you have a chef who is professionally trained and passionate about his product. He chatted with my buddy and I after we tried a few of the pizzas and explained that he wants to stimulate every part and sense of your tongue with each pizza he crafts. I have had pizza all across the country and NOTHING compares to this. You may think I've gone insane but you need to listen to me...try this pizza.

We went here because we read all the great reviews on Yelp, and they were definitely right! The pizza was delicious - everything tasted fresh, and it was cool to watch the pizza made right in front of us. We had the Sopressata and the Bianca and recommend both! Tip- go early! We went right when they opened at 4:30, and every table was full by 5. This was on a Thursday.

Me again. My wife and I have been to this awesome pizza spot three times and it is always a solid 5 Star, wish I could rate it higher. BYOB and still the best pizza in Delco!

Really small place. Pizza is OK. Waited way, way to long. People continue to sit and sit upwards of an hour after finishing their pizza while tons of people wait to be seated, I am going to chalk that up to typical Glen Mills elite people. I don't know why they aren"t asked to leave. People waiting outside were all drinking beer wine etc.right outside of the resturant. Dishes were dirty and the place smells funny.

The margarita pizza was decent. The Bianca was extremely salty and not every good. I honestly do not understand why all the 5 star reviews. I think everyone has been brainwashed with the marketing of this place.... they think they are getting something special and they really aren't.

The line is for good reason. The best pizza place in the greater Philadelphia area. The pizza has the best ingredients and best seasonings. It's a small place but amazing.

Pizza excellent...simple ingredients cooked perfectly. Most important part is the people whom own who are extremely gracious, happy to have you there, and make you feel so welcome. Thanks Dave

What an experience. I can't believe I live a stone's throw away from this place and hadn't been there since last night. The owner and employees: Affable, engaging, knowledgeable about pizza, and helpful (they even brought my pizzas to the car and belted them into the back seat to prevent them from moving during the journey). And the local crowd they attract is equally great, so you don't mind waiting for your order while you watch the magic happen. And now, the pizza: Remarkable - delicious with fresh ingredients and flavorful mozzarella that is made from fresh curds every day. There's a wonderful focus here on quality of ingredients, texture, and technique to make what amounts to a fantastic Neopolitan pizza. And yes, definitely best to eat it there! I'll definitely be back over, and over, and over again.

This place is for foodies who can appreciate artisan crafted pizza -- and anyone who loves food!! The crust is perfectly charred, with a wonderful bite and chew. We chose the margherita and soppresata. The margherita comes lightly sauced and topped with their homemade mozzarella. The soppresata came with a generous amount of spicy soppresata and the sauce seemed spicier also. They were both delicious and made me want to try the others in the menu- especially the Bianca with fresh garlic. Dave Ravanesi makes the pies right in front of you; his love for his craft is obvious and is evident in each bite. The restaurant is tiny and so is the menu -- they serve only pizza -- no salads either, although Ravanesi said he plans to add those soon. But when I'm in the mood for really great pizza, I'm coming here.

I don't seem to understand how this place has five stars. The pizza best okay and over priced. I gave 2 star because of the dough which is good but the sauce is horrible.

Just so you know, I come here every two weeks or so. Pizza from anywhere else can't stand up to what they offer here. I don't always check-in or write a review because, I almost order the same thing and there are limited choices here - pizza and more pizza. So this week, I arrived on a weekend night at opening time, 4:30 PM. The place was packed already and not one pie had yet to leave the oven. I still order the Bianca and the Sopressata pizza. Today, we also order the Bianca with sopressata; it's heaven. Best dough, homemade cheese and great salami. Yum. There is no takeout on Friday and Saturday because the demand is so high. They stop serving when they run out of dough, and they have at 7:30. Be advised. Coming here is an event so plan accordingly for your pizza pleasure.

Just like all the other reviews state, this pizza is awesome. The crust was perfect and the sauce was amazing. You can't get any better with this pizza. So sad I'll be moving to Georgia and won't get to eat here again. But I know my first road trip back this way will be coming here for great pizza.

I just ate there tonight. All they do is pizza . One guy and he is a master at it. Great stuff. Crowded place . Sells out early. Super high quality. Don't free lance just get the ones on the menu. In the pizza desert on Chester County this is truly an oasis.

That's not a bad little place the pizza if anything is just above average. I couldn't see anything special with it. It's very light on ingredients as far as toppings are concerned. Very limited to what you can order and what you can get. The dough that takes 30 hours to prepare seem to be under cooked yet slightly burnt as you would expect from a wood oven. Four 4 of us to eat it was nearly $100. We had to each order are own pizza because they are small. They only make about 100 - 150 dough ball for a Friday night. This must be because when I go by during the week the place is deserted. Unfortunately this seems to me to be a flash in the pan because of the recent newspaper article. I hope not some people seemed to like it and others felt as I did that it is so-so.

We've been here 3 times in 3 weeks. It's become my addition- can't get enough of the Soppressata pizza. It's kind of like pepperoni, but spicier and deeper in flavor. Also, the white pizza has just the right amount of olive oil and garlic. Add some fresh arugula and it's a balanced meal :) We have traveled to Brooklyn and Philly for great pizza, but with Ravenesi right down the road, that is no longer necessary. We are thrilled to have this fantastic pizzeria in the area!

  • Paul C.

Can't beat a wood fired pizza, so I had to try this place and I was not disappointed. There aren't many wood fired places around so I was happy to find this place. anyways the pizza was great with fresh ingredients. the crust is light and airy and it was cooked perfectly. I had the Margherita and the sopressata. Loved them both. the sopressata was awesome. the waiter and the owner/chef were super friendly and made us feel welcomed and appreciated which is hard to find these days. Highly recommend all to try.

  • Hillibeans S.

Don't even want to tell you how good this place is, because this place where is small and already draws a crowd! The pizza is awesome. Simple and perfect crust without the grease of the other guys. Only reason I didn't give five stars is I wish they had a salad to go with it!

  • Jay D.

You have finally found the best pizza for, perhaps hundreds of, miles around. Dave the proprietor and chef is serious about the craft of making superior pizza and as his customer, you reap the rewards. As he mentioned to me in friendly fashion after we enjoyed our meal, "If you're happy, I'm happy." Let me tell you, as if you couldn't tell from the 5 star overall rating this place has, you're going to leave the place extremely happy. Your life has just improved. Enjoy!

Real wood-fired oven pizza. Handmade dough, fresh mozzarella, amazing. Great service too! Wait time on a Friday night was a bit long- but with pizza this good, easy to see why. Simple menu choices, pizza and sodas only!

  • Jen O.

Hands down, the BEST pizza I have ever had in the area. Love and time are put into making sure all ingredients are fresh and homemade, I know this by the taste. Chef was warm and friendly, happy to chat about his perfect pizza. Atmosphere, small and inviting. The fior de latte, that melted perfectly on the pizza as well as the tongue can only be described as "swoon" worthy. It is also BYOB which is another star in my opinion! Take a drive, take a flight, take a walk, but make sure and try this gem of a pizzeria!

  • Olivia N.

I've been here a couple of times and the pizza is fantastic each and every time! It's quick, fresh, and filling. Best pizza in the area, hands down. The staff is very friendly as well and the owner greets us by name. You won't be disappointed.

  • Cora B.

holy smokes!!!!! not your average pizza. I got their "pepperoni equivalent" which was of course SOPRESSATA and it was amazing! just the right amount of spice and also covered the entire pizza so it wasn't a sheisty portion of sopressata. this spot is BYOB so it doesn't get any better. they don't take phone-in orders so you're going to have to go there in person and wait and watch what all the magic is about! I will definitely be back - BEST PIZZA AROUND!

Ravanesi Pizzeria was one word: incredible. Driving by the restaurant you would think nothing of the place but as Chef Ravanesi says: the best food comes from places that look nothing special. Even when you enter the place you will not think much of it. Your opinion of this restaurant will be swayed by the incredible artistry of Chef Ravanesi's cooking style. The way that the pizza's are made is with elegance, purpose, and talent. We are not talking about your everyday Pizza Hut pizza chef here, this is an art that would take time to perfect. Well, Chef Ravanesi has mastered the art of an authentic Naples pizza and the pizzas I ate were definitely some of the best pizzas I've had in a long time. I recommend checking this place out if you want truly delicious pizza. Great work Chef Ravanesi!

JUST AMAZING!! A night out with friends and great food!!! Your staff is amazing and friendly!!!! We will be back soon :)

  • Walter R.

Excellent pizza, best I've found in the area. Dave the owner has smartly limited the selection to cover everyone and still allow for an easy decision. Pizzas are cooked a high temperature so they come out in under two minutes. After a wonderful meal you can top it off with a Nutella pizza. My wife will not leave Ravanesi without one, not matter who's full we are. BYOB.

The food: from the first bite to the last it is the best blend of the freshest ingredients and flavors! The staff/service: everyone from the wait staff to the owner/chef were incredibly friendly, attentive and made you feel like a part of their family. The wait was long but they kept us informed and got us seated as quickly as possible. This will definitely be a regular spot for us!

Pizza was the best I've had in Delaware County !! We tried it last week and were delighted. The Sopressata was recommended by the waitress and is covered with meat. Oh, and it's a BYOB too. It only serves pizza but you really don't need anything else. We will definitely be back. It isn't a takeout so come and sit and enjoy this delightful new place.

    (5)
  • C S.

Best pizza ever!!! If you appreciate quality, fresh ingredients and dough that takes 30 hours to make, then come here. Dave is a pizza master who knows just how to blend different flavors to get the best pizza you will ever taste. Don't expect it to be a quick dinner as there is only ONE guy, with ONE oven that can only hold three pizzas at a time. The pizzas cook in about 90 seconds, but if the place is packed like it often is, you will wait. It is a BYOB place, so you can enjoy some drinks while you wait. On the weekends, you cannot call ahead for take outs, so plan to wait a very long time for that. If you are smart, you will come early and eat in so you can enjoy the pizza like it is meant to be eaten, hot and right out of the oven! I can't say enough good things about this pizza. Everything else now pales in comparison. Try it, you won't be disappointed!!

WORST customer service EVER!!!!! My husband ordered pizzas for his mom's birthday at 4pm today for a 6pm pick up. When he went to get the pizzas he was told they were not ready and that they would call him. It's 6:45 and still no call. The pizza isn't even that great! Overrated!!!! Terrible Service!

Best pizza I have ever had! Fresh homemade mozzarella and dough! Dave, the owner has certainly perfected his recipes! Staff is great also!

Perfect pizza!. Mozzarella homemade everyday. BYOB. Take the time to ask the owner about how he makes his pizza. We will be back.

BEST PIZZA in this area. If you like Stella, Osteria, or Barbuzzo in Philadelphia - then this is the next best thing. The crust is so light and the toppings are delicious. We travel for good pizza (favorite spot is DiFara's in Brooklyn). So glad to have such a high quality pizzeria 5 minutes from home now! Will definitely be back!!

I've been eating pizza for over 60 years. I grew up in New York City eating at famous Neopolitan pizzerias such as Luigino's, John's, Arturo's, and Lombardi. I've eaten Pizza in Italy, England, Brazil, and all over the USA including New Haven, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Ravenesi is the second best pizza I have ever eaten. I say "second best" only because my memory is not so great these days, so I am going to assume that I have, at least once, eaten better pizza. However, I can't actually recall ever having eaten pizza better than this, more authentic than this, more reasonably priced than this, or baked by a more knowledgeable and dedicated (and friendly) pizza chef. I can't believe I only live 10 miles from this Ravanesi Pizzeria. I would walk there if I couldn't drive. That's the long and the short of it. If you love pizza or love good food in general you owe it to yourself to go there. Arrive (very) early or you will have a wait.

I'd been dying to try this place since driving by the brand new sign a few weeks ago, even more so after viewing their menu online. Safe to say, my expectations were high. Just imagine my excitement when they were exceeded 10 fold. Two of us decided to pay them a visit on a recent Saturday evening soon after the grand opening. We couldn't make up our minds and had both the Sopressata Piccante and Filetti di Pomodori - all pizzas are 14 inches and in the $13-18 range, and all looked delicious. Both were excellent. The Sopressata Piccante was topped with their tomato sauce, spicy sopressata, and homemade mozzarella. It had a little bit of a kick but wasn't too spicy to be enjoyable. The Filetti di Pomodori was great as well, a simple oil and garlic sauce with fresh basil and tomatoes in addition to their phenomenal homemade mozzarella. The crust on both was perfect - chewy and soft, just crisp enough to maintain the structure without the slice flopping all over the place. We ordered 2 pizzas with the intention of taking leftovers home, but they didn't stand a chance. We couldn't stop until we finished every last crumb, and I practically had to be rolled out of the place. So worth it. It's a casual place, brightly lit with a handful of clean tables. Having both grown up in old-school Italian families we felt right at home between the wonderful food, friendly owners, and Ellis Island photos adorning the walls. This isn't a fancy, 5-star Italian restaurant downtown. They make pizza, and they do it well, clearly not wasting any space or talent on salads, hoagies, or other accompaniments. The only thing I might add would be a simple mushroom pizza, given the proximity to Kennett Square and wide availability of fresh, delicious funghi. It's a BYOB so we took a six pack with us, a few others had brought wine in on this particular evening. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an authentic Italian pie, especially given the paucity of good pizzerias in the area. We'll definitely be back.

THE best and closest pizza you can find to true Italian pizza. I can close my eyes and I think I'm in Italy. Completely worth the cost. 30 hours to make the dough; cheese made in house! Amazing!! I don't give 5 stars easily.

We came into town from NYC and heard a lot of fuss about Ravanesi, so we decided to try it out.... This pizza was delicious, fresh, fast, and worth every dollar. The staff is warm and welcoming and all around a great little place. After one experience, Ravanesi made it into my top 3 pizzas of all time. We will be coming back here every time we come into town!

Giving these guys 5 stars because they definitely should thrive! This is as good as it gets in this area, and I will just give you my own personal tips for added enjoyment. We are not fond of the traditional Neapolitan soft center, so we tried this: we brought the pizza home. put it in a 457degree oven on a pizza stone that had been heated to temp. Added a little olive oil after and we wanted a little more flavor so added some fresh garlic and salt. NOW, it rivaled anything in Phila that i put among the top, including Beddia, which is not trivial!!! As I said, its a matter of personal preference but the basics are there and that is what counts.

Don't walk in hoping for your stereotypical pepperoni pizza. But if you are prepared to try something a little different than the standard, this delicious take on Neapolitan-style pizza is most definitely worth a try. Absolutely fantastic!

Finally tried the pizza last night. Amazing! My Italian mother makes wonderful pizza too and this is right up there with hers! All fresh ingredients. Wasn't sure my kids would like it because it isn't what they were used to, but they loved it! Our new Friday night place!

  • Donna W.

This place is fantastic! It's small, with a menu limited to about 7 varieties of pizza, but it is without a doubt the best pizza you will find anywhere. The dough is light, the flavors of the sauce are delicate, and the cheese is so fresh. It truly is a Neapolitan pizza. If you want the best, come here. I would highly recommend this restaurant. And, the people were friendly and very welcoming. Excellent!!!!

I learned about Ravanesi on Facebook because several local friends were raving about the place. Dropped by once last week but they had run out of dough. Typically that would do it for me. More second chances. But I had heard such good things that I tried again. And tonight the stars were aligned between my ability to get there early enough and Ravenesi's dough supply. Wow. Worth making the effort to try again! On arrival, I was offered a slice of white pizza that had just come out of the oven. (All I really wanted was a slice....) When I balked at the amount, they cut it in half to help me decide while I reviewed the menu. I was sold with the first bite. I finally settled for the Filetti di Pomodori, consisting of cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, fresh garlic, fresh basil, extra-virgin olive oil and sea salt. It was (is--I write this review as I am eating) absolutely fantastic. When they use the word 'fresh,' they mean it. Beautifully baked, wonderful balance of ingredients and dough that is fabulous (as is the cheese). Everyone in the place was welcoming and nice. I ordered my pizza to go but will return to stay. It was a five-minute wait. Ravanesi is BYOB. With luck, they will grow enough over time to offer individual slices rather than just 14-inch pies. But they are worth it to buy the whole pie anyway. Indulge. Overcome by hunger for another slice, I have to stop typing...!

Great pizzas..not that expensive compared to pizza chains. Try them 1/2 and 1/2 if you want to sample multiple. Service was ...so so and the ambience can use a face lift. Still giving them 4 stars...very few this good in the area.

Great pizza and a delightful owner. All the ingredients were fresh and the dough was cooked to perfection.

  • C E.

Amazing pizza, definitely worth the price, but be prepared to wait. The dough is perfection and each bite is delicious. You can't order take out over the phone however, you have to order take out in person. So on a busy night, arrive early, place your order and be prepared to sit for a good 15-25mins. The wait time is my only reason for 4 stars rather than 5. The food is 5 stars, no doubt. I'll be back for sure.

Do not make the same mistake we did and leave with only one pizza. Try as we might to savor every bite, it was too good and was gone before we knew it. From watching the owner hand prepare our pizza and care for it in the wood oven in front of us to the free samples they gave us of a pie made in error, it was the perfect pizza experience. Pretty sure we will be back when the doors open tomorrow morning. Hands down best pizza in the area.

This new pizza shop is amazing. Don't expect your traditional pepperoni pizza here. The dough is made fresh daily and takes 30 hours to prepare! The cheese is also made in house. All of the toppings are fresh. Pizza is cooked in a high temp wood fired oven. The result is amazing. Absolutely worth the price. You really need to give this new local business a try. You will not be disappointed. We will definitely be back.

We live in the area and I noticed the new sign several weeks ago so since my family is away I decided now is the perfect time. It's hard to get 13 people to agree on someplace to eat and its even harder to get them to try something new. I often have to resort to bribing, and then there is my wife, "if they don't like it you have to promise to take them somewhere else. Ahhhh!!! So like I said the family was away so I was grabbing some fresh fruit at the produce stand....voilà. I asked for the workers opinion on which one, I am not very picky. I eaten worms and swallowed live gold fish for Pete's sake. The recommended either the cheese or sausage, I decide on the sausage. With the firewood oven it cooks the pizza quickly, the owner admitted that if he had known how well it was going to be received he would have put in another oven. I told him that I was going to take it home with me and he highly suggested that it would be in my best interest to eat it right away... You see it comes so hot out of the oven that that is when it is at its most flavorful moment. I took his advice and devoured three slices in the parking lot. YES, it is that good. I have the same kind of problem with fresh off the rack Krispy Kreme donuts. We are talking 6 or 7 before I even get home. I know what your thinking... This guy must be 350 lbs of lard. I just lost 20 lbs and its still coming off I'm 5'9" 187 lbs. Ok back to the pizza, it was great. I called the owner to let him know what I thought. I'm a small business owner to and its nice to hear compliments. So give it a try I don't think you will be disappointed. But be prepared to wait on the weekends he says it can get crazy. Have a little patience, its worth the wait.

It is one thing to put "Pizzeria Napoletana" in the name of the restaurant, it is quite another thing to actually deliver a pizza experience that is thoroughly satisfying and, while not slavishly adhering to Neapolitan idioms, puts enough craft and quality into dough and ingredients to make one think of Naples. The dough: soft, mild but flavorful, perfectly cooked in the oak-fired oven. The Margherita had a fine tomato base (San Marzano tomatoes are used for the sauce), a generous amount of freshly made fior di latte mozzarella, a bit of basil, olive oil and sea salt - delightful with our smokey Bourgueil. A friend ordered the Salsiccia version, it came with a flavorful sweet Italian sausage and roasted onion. The space is airy and tastefully decorated, a comfortable place to sit and watch Mr. Ravanesi do the pizzaiolo's job with great experience and care. You can order some soft drinks but the place is BYOB, so bring a good red or some fine craft beers and enjoy the pizza. The service crew are local kids, eager to bring Ravanesi's masterpieces to the table. Coming back late from strolling through Longwood Gardens, this pizzeria on the Baltimore Pike makes for a very good stop. p.s. The pizze are quite sizable (at 14 inches) and fairly prized, given the quality of the ingredients. Of course, if you are looking for a 2 for 1 Caesars Caesars style set-up, this is not the place to come.

Best pizza I've ever had! SO worth a few extra bucks for the amazing quality. The White pizza is my favorite but they're all really terrific.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
